Al Ghamdi retain prestigious Al Gosaibi Premier Div. Title

ALKHOBAR, 3 May — In the last match of the week, Al Ghamdi beat Pak Arab by 74 runs and retain the Premier Division League title in style. Batting first, Al Ghamdi scored 290 runs in their allotted 40 overs. Nasir, Riaz and Sadaqat scored fine half centuries. Shahjahan scored useful 30 runs and Sajjed scored breezy 25. Akhter and Naveed bowled well and took 2 wickets each. In reply, Pak Arab were all out for 216 runs.

In another match, YATA shocked SPG and beat them by 15 runs. Yata batted first and scored 330 for the loss of 9 wickets. Shahzad 87 runs, Nadeem 81 runs and Asim Baig 47 runs were the main scorers. Shahid, Talal and Nasir bowled well and took 2 wickets each. SPG were all out for 314 runs.

EPCA to conduct Olayan (Tang) six-a-side tournament

As per the EPCA tradition the six-a-side tournament will be played today. Olayan (Tang) has sponsored this tournament this year and all the EPCA team will participate in this tournament. The matches will start at 8 a.m. Six players will take part in this tournament which will consist of 5 overs. Each bowler will have to bowl only one over wide and no-ball will cost 4 runs.

This tournament will be over the same day. Cricket lovers are welcome to see this amazing battle between bat and ball.
