BOMBAY, 12 May — A two-day meeting of the Saudi Arabian Airlines for the Asia-Australia region, held here recently, discussed the future marketing strategies of the airline to increase its share of the international travel market, including the transportation of the Haj and Umrah pilgrims.
In the meeting, which was chaired by Abdul Aziz Al Hazmi, assistant executive director general for marketing, topics such as the ways to offer best services to passengers and the need to pay special attention to profitable markets were also discussed.
Saudia transported 1.14 million passengers from various destinations to the Kingdom last year. The airline has also transported 707, 000 Haj pilgrims from 57 international cities.
The airline has also signed an agreement with the Iranian authorities to transport 232,000 Umrah pilgrims from five Iranian cities.
