JEDDAH, 24 May — The Orient Pearl Seafood & Restaurant (OPSR) revive its reputation as the team beat the ace players of Al Saad Darters, and sustained their team lineup by displaying the dynamic darting maneuvers on the first qualifying round of the “13th JEDI Inter-Commercial Darts League”.
In the 4-man team event inspired by the Comeback King Caloy “Mighty J” Jalbuna together Santi Divinagracia (Year 2000 Open Single Champio), Dondon Pablo a new comer of the league and the veteran Lito Gabriel faced the challenge of Al Saad Darter headed by Daniel Burce, Toto Genon, Boy August and Manny Necessito.
OPSR unloaded a barrage of ton’s on the big treble from start to finish and Diinagracia doused water on the rally of Al Saad in the end game with final dart closing of D-10.
On the Single Event Caloy Jalbuna scored a 2-1 split over Daniel Burce, Santi Divinagracia blanked Toto Genon 2-0.
In 2nd leg Santi achieved the best record by highest outing of the night 130 (T20-S20-Dbulls). Dondon Pablo the neophyte of OPSR also made his opening debut when he blanked Boy “Da Cute” August 2-0 by checking out the most favorite outing of the Darters i.e., D16 & D20. Mario Arguilles loss to Nanding Rosco 1-2. Also, another neophyte from OPSR team Ambet Canielita, made a similar feat by blanking Jun Escanilla 2-0 of Al Saad. In the last single event, the sweet shooting Manny Necessito of Al Saad Darter blank Oca Moreno 2-0. On Doubles event, Manny Necessito/Nanding Rosco gallantly makes their 2 points against Santi Divinagracia/Lito Gabriel of OPSR on the first match. The tandem of Daniel Burce/Romy Ronquillo of Al Saad duplicated their team mate feat by stopping the winning streak of Caloy Jalbuna/Allan Quebral of OPSR in the 2nd double event.
And on the last double match, OPSR Oca Moreno teamed with the rejuvenated Ed Pamintuan recovered from the cold wrapped up the match by checking out D8 against the pair of Toto Genon/Cris Apllinario od Al Saad Dart Team. Final score ended up 14 points to Orient Pearl Seafood & Restaurant and 9 points for the Al Saad Dart Team.
Meanwhile, in the other matches on Division I, in another exciting down the wire sudden death match, Al Jazzar Dart Team nipped Dart Vader 5 Dart teams (13-10). On Division II, Internet@Kape Dart Team crushed the favorite Jeddah Graphics Center Darters (20-05), while the Green Giants secure the match against the outnumbered team of Rayaks ‘AACC Dart Team, the weekly matches varies the team standings in JEDI’s 13th Inter-Commercial Team Dart League. As per the best record of the day, Santi Divinagracia of Orient Pearl Seafood & Restaurant clinched the highest check-out in Bulls 130 (T20-S20-DB) that entitled the record holder’s at the end of the tournament a Power Horse gift items.
