CHOFU, 31 May — Saudi Arabian players have got a large number of Japanese fans who have been impressed by the green squad’s soccer skills and behavior. “It was a good opportunity for us to witness the training games of the Saudi team here in Chofu with our children,” Narita, a Japanese mother told Arab News.
“I love Saudi soccer players and I came here to see how they play,” a 10-year-old Japanese student said. “My husband works in the Saudi town of Khafji. We contacted him by phone and told him that the Saudi team has come to our town. He then advised us to support the Kingdom’s team and present them gifts. The Saudi players shook hands with my son and we are proud of that handshake,” Mayukara, another Japanese woman, told Arab News. - Saeed Al-Hilal
