Even as you read these words, a time bomb is ticking away in the holy city of Makkah. The question is not "if" it will explode but "when".
The bomb I am speaking of, for those who want to know, is the large number of Africans in the city; they are there illegally and as they encroach on the city and its facilities, they have become a public menace. They show no respect for the law whatsoever. They make it plain that all they care about is making money — and by whatever means is available to them. They multiply like rabbits and every one of their children becomes no more than another tool for making money. They trade in everything, buying and selling; they work in gangs with each gang having its own area where outsiders are not allowed. They are seen on every street and at every traffic light. Like weeds in the soil of rich farmland, they threaten to engulf everything and take over.
These people are a time bomb in every sense of the word. Doing nothing about the problem means it gets worse every day and its potential for serious lasting damage increases.
Defusing the bomb as quickly as possible must be a top priority. This can be done by going to the source of the problem, no matter how expensive or troublesome that may be. Either these people are forced to leave or they become legal residents. We cannot continue to ignore the problem because this will only compound it.
In addition, ignoring the problem only perpetuates the frustration and suffering of Makkah’s residents who have reached the end of their endurance with the law-breaking children of these overstayers. Defuse the time bomb before it is too late and clear the field of harmful weeds before the entire useful crop is ruined.
