JEDDAH, 28 July — Jeddah will host the first Arab industrial exhibition from Sept. 1 to 6, organizers said. About 350 companies from 18 Arab countries are expected to take part in the show, which will be held at Jeddah International Exhibition Center. Hisham Al-Haddad, secretary-general of Arab Federation for Exhibitions and Conferences, said the weeklong exhibition was aimed at promoting inter-Arab trade, which account for only eight percent of their total trade. Makkah Governor Prince Abdul Majeed will open the exhibition in the presence of Arab League Secretary-General Amr Moussa. Abdullah ibn Marae Bin Mahfouz, chairman of the exhibition center, said the event would generate competition between Arab products.
