Suicide attempts fail

JEDDAH, 16 August — A woman in her 20s jumped from an upper story window of her parents’ house in Makkah in an apparent attempt to commit suicide, Okaz reported yesterday. However, she survived as she fell on a garbage heap. She was admitted to Noor Specialist Hospital with fractures and bruises. In another incident, a woman in Al-Ahsa was admitted to hospital after she tried to commit suicide by consuming some poisonous tablets when her husband went abroad without taking her with him.
