RIYADH, 26 August — Eight members of a Saudi family were killed when their car was crushed by a speeding truck in the southwest of the Kingdom, Al-Watan newspaper reported yesterday.
The bodies of the family members were cut to pieces in the accident in which another truck and a car were also involved, Al-Watan daily said.
Three women and two drivers were hospitalized with serious injuries. The accident occurred on Saturday between Al-Darb and Beesh cities in the southwestern province of Asir.
In another accident, six people from two families were killed and three others seriously wounded when two cars collided head-on on the coastal road linking Jeddah and the southwestern city of Jizan.
