Snake creates panic in school

ABHA, 31 August — A poisonous snake caused panic among students and teachers in a secondary girls’ school in Abha recently. The school is situated in an area close to a garbage dump, which is a breeding ground for snakes, rats and scorpions, Al-Watan reported. The teachers urged the authorities to take quick steps to redress the situation and protect more than 450 students at the school. They also complained that the school was lacking a rainwater drainage system.
