JEDDAH, 30 September — Security authorities in Jeddah have arrested an Asian national for embezzling SR380,000 from a company where he worked and trying to flee the country using a forged passport.
Police arrested the man at King Abdul Aziz Airport in Jeddah after receiving information that the man was planning to sneak out with the money he collected by selling Internet cards. “The company, where the Asian worked, said it was trying to figure out the number of Internet cards he had sold. It estimated the amount embezzled by the man at more than SR380,000. He was selling Internet cards valued at between SR200 and SR900 each.
