National Guard Qur’an contest

RIYADH, 1 October — The National Guard will organize an annual Qur’an contest for its military staff in various parts of the country, according to Dr. Ibrahim Abu Obada, head of the guidance section at the National Guard. “The contest will be named after Prince Abdullah, the regent,” he told a press conference. The contest will have five categories: Memorization of the whole Qur’an; 20 parts (Juze); 10 parts; three parts; and a single part. Winners will receive cash prizes.
