National institute for cancer to be put up

RIYADH, 19 October — The international cancer conference concluded here on Wednesday with a proposal to establish a national institute for cancer at King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Center, according to Dr. Fatwan Al-Mohanna, chairman of the organizing committee. He said the conference focused on modern methods to treat the dreadful disease and on how to provide better healthcare to cancer patients. It also proposed a national committee for nutrition and environment to study the causes of the disease. — Fahd Al-Saiary
