JEDDAH, 25 October — Still basking in victory in their conquest over TMI Darters in semifinals, the Orient Pearl darters displayed intermittent performance in subduing No. 1 seed Al Jazzar hotshots claiming 2 games in their best-of-three series. Anchoring their game on the explosive quartet of Santi Divinagracia, Caloy "Da Comeback King" Jalbuna, Oca Moreno and D’lone Darter of Shoaiba Dondon Pablo of OPSR dart team displayed superb scores with consistent lines of T40-Ton-deltas in the four man team event of the first leg of the series virtually edging Al Jazzar’s Efren Tajonera, Rudy Padua, Pat Cortez and Fred Apaya.
Dondon Pablo clinched the first three points for OPSR with a precise hit on Double 10. In the Single Events Rudy Padua takes 2 points from Oca Moreno (2-1), Jack Rubica bullied by Santi Divinagracia clinching both 2 win games ending darts to D-20 luckily score 1 game to D-16 by Jack. (1-2), Lito Gabriel shocked the left-handed Efren Tajonera (2-1), Caloy "da Comback King" Jalbuna downed Fred "Totoy" Apaya (2-1), Allan Quebral horrified Lito Favabier on his T40-Ton & Deltas as minimum throws 2-1, Pat Cortez caught Dondon Pablo under pressure as Dondon needs only 1 point to conclude the game. (2-0).
Score 12 points for OPSR and 8 points for Al Jazzar Dart Team. On Doubles event, Efren Tajonera/Fred Apaya tandems from Al Jazzar overthrown the partner of Dondon Pablo/Caloy Jalbuna, but on the second double events Santi Divinagracia / Oca Moreno outlasts the duo of Jack Rubica/Lito Favabier concluded their game by pinpointing the single attempt to double 10 by Santi. Final Score: OPSR 14 points and 10 points for Al Jazzar. This marks the second Crown of OPSR Dart Team since 1995.
In Division II, El Khereiji/Powerhorse Team took advantage of the under manned RAYAKS team on their deadlock game (all 12). Wilson Canlas, Pete Perez, Peter Paul Galinea and Lauro Fontaniel of El Khereiji/Powerhorse Dart Team against Manny L, Ronald E., Willy L and Angel of Rayaks team.
