OUAGADOUGOU, 25 October — The Jeddah-based Islamic Development Bank has approved $2 billion for boosting the economic development process of the bank’s member states in Africa in the next five years. The decision came at the 27th meeting of the IDB council of governors that ended in this capital city of Burkino Faso. The Ouagadougou declaration, issued at the end of the meeting, reiterated IDB’s commitment to enhance cooperation with its African member states, notably the less developed ones.
