RIYADH, 27 October — Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf is due to arrive here on Monday for talks with Saudi leaders on the situation in Southeast Asia and the Middle East, a diplomatic source said yesterday.

Musharraf is scheduled to hold talks with Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Fahd and Crown Prince Abdullah, deputy premier and commander of the National guard, about developments between Pakistan and India, the source said.

The Pakistani leader also plans to perform Umrah. Musharraf visited Saudi Arabia in June this year for talks with Prince Abdullah on the tension between Pakistan and India following New Delhi’s military buildup on the joint border.

Senior envoys from India also visited the Kingdom in the past few months to appraise Saudi leaders of developments.
