RIYADH, 2 November — Dr. Rashid Basha of Tamil Nadu polled the highest votes — 1,263 — for the International Indian School Riyadh’s management committee elections held yesterday.
Mohammed Ali Ponnur and T. Mohammed Nazeer Ahmed, both from Kerala, secured 1,168 votes each, followed by Dr. Jamshed-ur-Rehman of Uttar Pradesh (1,111 votes). The elections were supervised by Zikr-ur-Rehman, coordinator for international Indian schools in the Kingdom, Barrak Al-Barrak, director general, Prof. Moiz Kahtani, supervisor general, and Younus Dawood, supervisor from the Education Ministry’s foreign education department, Riyadh region.
