RIYADH, 6 November — A proposal to increase Air-India’s flights on the Saudi Arabia-India sector, especially to Indian destinations from Riyadh, will be discussed during the forthcoming bilateral talks between Saudi and Indian aviation officials early next year. Addressing a press conference in Riyadh recently, Capt. P.P. Singh, the airlines’ regional director for the Gulf and Middle East said that “the airline has been operating six flights a week from Riyadh but we would like to increase the frequency further.” Singh was speaking at function organized to honor sales agents for their excellent sales performance. About the winter schedule of Air-India, Singh said that the airline will operate five flights to Cochin, three flights to Trivandrum and four flights to Calicut. These will be in addition to four new weekly Riyadh-Cochin flights and five new weekly Cochin-Riyadh flights. (MGAK)
