SEC vehicle robbed at gunpoint

JEDDAH, 19 November 2002 — Unidentified armed robbers attacked a vehicle belonging to the Saudi Electricity Company in Uhd Rafeeda and decamped with the vehicle after forcing two Filipino workers out at gunpoint, Al-Watan reported yesterday. The paper said the incident took place while the two expatriate workers were coming from the company at 11 p.m. on Friday. The paper said the robbers frightened the Filipinos by opening fire. An official source at the company said it was the second time its vehicles were robbed.
