MADINAH, 25 November 2002 — Prince Sultan, second deputy premier and minister of defense and aviation, attended last night the first forum of charitable societies in Madinah region. The two-day forum is organized under the title “Charitable work in Madinah — evaluating the present and foreseeing the future”.
Director of the charities’ coordination committee Yahya ibn Saif Saleh said that the forum sought to discuss viewpoints and exchange ideas and suggestions with intellectuals and social scientists.
He told reporters later that the state accorded great care to charitable societies.
Prince Sultan also attended the opening ceremony of the new headquarters of the Rehabilitation Center in Madinah. (SPA)
