JEDDAH, 3 December 2002 — Dar Alasr has signed a $1 million, three-year contract, with Amanah Tech. Dar Alasr and Amanah Tech will bring high-level hosting solutions to the Saudi Arabian market. The contract is unique because Dar Alasr will provide technical support to its clients and Amanah Tech will then provide technical support to Dar Alasr. This allows flexibility with payment options, as Saudi clients are able to pay in riyals. Amanah Tech will make available sales and support in Arabic and English. “We never thought we would be able to find a Canadian IT company that delivers 24 by 7 support in Arabic,” said Fouad Alfarhan, president, Dar Alasr. “Partnering with Amanah Tech allows us to provide high-end technology that our clients are looking for, in Arabic.” Nezar Freeny, CEO, Amanah Tech added: “The contract will give us the power not only to conquer the Saudi market but will also enable us to develop innovative IT solutions for the Arabian market from Canada.” The Canadian government is delighted with the new business relationship. “We are proud of the success of Amanah Tech and its new client base in Saudi Arabia,” said Gar Knutson, Canadian Secretary of State, Central and Eastern Europe and the Middle East. “As a high-technology company from Canada, Amanah Tech is making a strong presence in the Arabian Gulf with its web solutions.”
