JEDDAH, 11 December 2002 — There was a pileup of seven cars on Jeddah’s Tahliya Street on Sunday as a result of speeding and sudden braking. Nobody was injured in the accident, which occurred when a man stopped his car abruptly to avoid hitting a person who was crossing the road. Meanwhile, a new car in Raniya caught fire after an explosion in its engine, Okaz said. A Saudi youth, who was driving the car, ran away from the vehicle soon after the explosion.
