Zawya.com has signed up Dow Jones Newswires — a leading independent provider of real-time financial and business news — to its list of premium content providers. The agreement with Dow Jones Newswires follows the recent signing up of two publications — Gulf Business and Gulf Marketing Review — as content providers. Zawya.com is the first regional portal to carry the content of these publications online. The new content providers join the company’s list of existing international news providers which includes Reuters, AFP and UPI, in addition to regional leaders such as the Middle East Economic Survey, The Daily Star, The Jordan Times and Gulf News. Commenting on the new additions, Husain Makiya, Zawya’s business development manager, said, “We are delighted to welcome Dow Jones Newswires to our hybrid magazine, zawya.com.
