DAMMAM, 20 January 2003 — Six members of a Saudi family in Rafeea village, 40 km from here, died in a fire that also destroyed their house on Saturday, Okaz newspaper reported yesterday. The paper said three others escaped with minor injuries. The fire broke out early morning while the nine were asleep in the house. A source at the Civil Defense Department in the Eastern Province said the fire was caused by an electric short-circuit.
