Saudi held in McDonald’s case

RIYADH, 20 January 2003 — Police have arrested the Saudi man who walked into a McDonald’s restaurant in Alkharj on Nov. 20 with a pistol and set it on fire, an Interior Ministry official said yesterday. The man arrested was a “Saudi national who has confessed to having committed the crime and will be brought before the court,” the official said. The official affirmed the government’s resolve to keep public and private property, including that of expatriates, safe. (SPA)
