JEDDAH, 15 March 2003 — Saudis who inform the police of the location of overstayers and forgery centers will be rewarded in cash from next month.
The reward system has been approved by Interior Minister Prince Naif, Al-Eqtisadia reported.
The cash award starts from SR500 up to a whole month’s salary for the informer. Maj. Gen Abdulaziz Sajini, director of passports, said that all Saudis, except passport employees, are entitled to the reward.
Sajini added that the Passport Department will start collecting fines automatically from the personal account of the violator in the next three months, in coordination with the Ministry of Finance.
