Hotels Expect Boom

JEDDAH, 22 March 2003 — Hotels and furnished apartments in Jeddah are preparing to welcome visitors living near the war zone in Iraq, especially people from Bahrain, Kuwait and the Eastern Province, Al-Watan daily reported. Hotels and furnished apartments are offering deals including huge discounts. Some offer free extra days if rooms are booked for a specified period. Managers of hotels and furnished apartments expect a 20 percent increase when the war escalates.
