Acer Sees Increase in Regional Sales

Acer Computer ME announced that its revenue in the Middle East for Q1 has grown by 150 percent over last year’s results. Strong sales were driven by Acer’s Jebel Ali-based operations and increasing demand from countries in the Middle East for advanced IT applications and services.

Across the region, Acer’s notebook PCs experienced the greatest growth in sales, ahead of other products. The sales of notebook PCs were up by 200 percent in contrast to the same time last year. During Q1, the sale of Acer servers escalated 135 percent over last year‚s results and there was a 160 percent boost in the sale of Acer’s Business PCs.

“This region is dynamic and strong and we are proud to be growing at such an aggressive pace,” said Krishna Murthy, GM, Acer Computer ME. “As well as investing heavily in regional training programs, we also recently opened our first call center in the Middle East at the Jebel Ali Free Zone in Dubai.”

New Sales Manager for ComGuard KSA

In a move promoted as part of a “new sales and service strategy for the Saudi market,” ComGuard has appointed Saudi-born Nader Baghdadi as sales manager for the Kingdom. According to ComGuard, Baghdadi’s new role will include responsibility for all enterprise account management in the Kingdom. He will also develop and implement ComGuard’s sales and service strategy of providing fully integrated protection for companies in the region, while increasing awareness of the importance of security as a business advantage.
