RIYADH, 6 May 2003 — Interior ministers of the six Gulf Cooperation Council states were to hold a one-day “consultation” meeting in Qatar today to discuss security coordination, GCC said in a statement.
The ministers were to discuss “several important security issues” and exchange views with regard to “security cooperation and coordination,” between the member states, the statement added. The meeting would also tackle the “latest security developments at regional and international levels.”
Consultation meetings are informal conferences held by GCC ministers to review developments.
