RIYADH, 28 May 2003 — Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf is expected to pay an official visit to the Kingdom today for talks with Crown Prince Abdullah, deputy premier and commander of the National Guard, an official source here said yesterday.
“President Musharraf will hold talks with Prince Abdullah ahead of the prince’s departure to attend the G-8 summit in France,” the source said.
The talks are expected to tackle bilateral relations, developments in Iraq and the fight against terrorism, in addition to Indo-Pakistani ties.
Musharraf last visited Riyadh in October and discussed with Saudi leaders the volatile situation in the Middle East, India-Pakistan relations and bilateral ties. The president is also expected to perform Umrah.
