RIYADH, 11 June 2003 — Pakistani President Gen. Pervez Musharraf will arrive here today for one day of talks with the Saudi leadership, Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry in Islamabad said yesterday. Gen. Musharraf will “express our support and solidarity with the Saudi people,” according to a statement from the Pakistani ministry.
“The president will also convey condolences on the reprehensible incidents of terrorism which have led to a tragic loss of precious lives,” it added, referring to the May 12 triple suicide bombings in Riyadh.
Bilateral relations and the “evolving global and regional situation” would be on the agenda, the statement said.
