Gulf Air Announces Summer Schedule

JEDDAH, 14 June 2003 — Gulf Air’s summer schedule includes flights to Alexandria and twice-weekly flights to the African spice island of Zanzibar. For the holiday season between June 18 and Sept. 14, Gulf Air will operate Airbus A320 on twice weekly flights between Abu Dhabi and the popular Egyptian coastal holiday destination. The schedule also features three flights a week from Bahrain to Mashad in Iran and reinstatement of flights to Tanzania’s tropical island of Zanzibar. Gulf Traveler, Gulf Air’s new all-economy full service airline, will operate regular flights to the “Spice island.” The fleet of Boeing 767-300ER aircraft will provide twice-weekly services to Zanzibar and Dar Es Salaam from Abu Dhabi and Muscat. Dar Es Salaam is also serviced on the other five days with flights through Nairobi. “The new destinations are also featured in Gulf Air Holiday networkwide. Stopover Program and the recently launched ‘World Experience Program’ offer a one-stop total travel package, which includes flights, airport transfers, hotel accommodation and car hire,” Hamza Mohammed Sharif, Gulf Air manager for Saudi Arabia, said during the airline’s road show at Red Sea Palace Hotel.
