TAIF, 7 July 2003 — When a bride-to-be and her mother had settled on a wedding dress at a cost of SR2,500, Al-Jazirah newspaper reported, they took the dress back to their car and continued shopping. When they returned, they found the car had been broken into and the wedding dress stolen. When the groom-to-be heard how upset his prospective wife was, he bought her a SR10,000 wedding dress as compensation.
