RIYADH, 19 July 2003 — Prince Faisal ibn Salman, chairman of the Saudi Research and Marketing Group, has appointed Abdulwahab Muhammad Al-Fayez editor in chief of Al-Eqtisadiah newspaper, a sister publication of Arab News.
He replaces Muhammad Faraj Al-Tunisi, who resigned from the post for personal reasons.
Prince Faisal thanked Tunisi, who had been editor in chief of Al-Edqtisadiah since 1992, for his services to the Arabic-language business daily.
Al-Fayez graduated from King Abdul Aziz University in Jeddah and Howard University in Washington, D.C.
He spent 18 years as editor and writer at Al-Riyadh newspaper before joining Asharq Al-Awsat, another sister publication of Arab News, in Riyadh this year.
