MAKKAH, 31 July 2003 — Heightened security in the Kingdom is producing odd results, Al-Nadwah reported. When a Makkah woman felt her contractions coming on, her husband bundled her into the car and attempted to drive her to hospital. Detained by a security check along the route, however, the woman went into labor in the queue and gave birth to a healthy baby girl on a traffic island.
