Saudi Firm Gets Quality Gold Award in New York

NEW YORK, 3 August 2003 — Saudi Arabia’s Bagedo Travel & Tourism was presented with the Quality Summit International Gold Award for Excellence Business Prestige at a ceremony here recently.

K.A.B. Holding Company International of Saudi Arabia, the parent company of Bagedo sent Umar Abdul Salam to receive the award. The award was in recognition of the commitment to quality leadership, technology and innovation on behalf of Bagedo.

The K.A.B. holding company is owned by Khaled Ahmad Bagedo.

The presentation of the Quality Summit Award took place on July 14 in the Convention Hall of the New York Marriott Marquis Hotel.

The event was presided by Jose E. Prieto, president and CEO of Business Initiative Directions, along with outstanding personalities from the business world and international members of the diplomatic corps in US.

The 17th International Convention Quality Summit New York 2003 recognized the commitment to quality of companies from all over the world whose business activities cover the top areas of industrial production and services.

In this way, the BID has made its presence known in 166 countries of the world, and has created a firm ground for the implementation of an integral quality process through the technology and procedures of the QC100 Total Quality Management.

Umar Abdul Salam, Bagedo’s representative, said “the award symbolizes companies that are of international standard in commitment to leadership, technology and innovation which make them models for other companies of their sectors. We are proud to bring this award to Saudi Arabia.”
