RIYADH, 15 August 2003 — Messrs. K. M. Kasim and Nasser, Proprietors of the NAK Park Fashions (Ramaz Al-Sharq Commercial Services) will sponsor the Filipino Overseas Bowlers of Riyadh (FOBR) Tuesday Night Regulated Bowling League.
The league is scheduled to start on Aug. 26 and the games will start right after the prize-giving of the just concluded House of Donuts/OFWBR Monday Night Bowling League at the Riyadh Inter-Continental Hotel Bowling Center.
Supporting the league are the OFWBR, Riyadh Bowling Club (RBC), the ABS-CBN The Filipino Channel (TFC) through Nonoy Velo, Riyadh Inter-Continental Hotel Bowling Center through its Victor Edan, bowling supervisor, the Pinoy Supermarket through Joseph Magdalena, operations manager, and the Garnet Cargo Forwarders through its proprietor, Jojo Paciano.
Twelve teams have confirmed participation in the league and the bowling uniforms will be sponsored by NAK Park a distributor of ready-to-wear items.
Prior to the opening of the games, FOBR has arranged a one-day bowling tournament on Aug. 12 and 19, 2003 at 7:30 in the evening.
The entry fee per player is SR50 and the players will play a four-game series with handicap. A cash prize will be awarded to the top three winners.
The teams who confirmed their participation are the ABB Tribe II of Nolie Medrano and Glenn Espiritu, Ang Saya-Saya team of Noli Ritual and Larry Mondoy, Power Grip of Shakur Kamlian, Saudi-Oger of Omar Pascual, Shining Stars of Onette Orca and Jun Ausa, RBC All Stars of Rommel Romano, Garnet Eagles of Jojo Paciano, and the FOBR selection.
The team captains meeting will be held on Aug. 23 at the Riyadh Inter-Continental Hotel Bowling Center at 8:00 in the evening.
