JEDDAH, 15 August 2003 — Employees of King Fahd Armed Forces Hospital had a real hey day in the elimination rounds of their Inter-Color Basketball Tournament at Crowne Plaza Hotel.
The Dietary Team scored another victory over the Electrical Team, who suffered their second defeat. The Milkmen dominated the last two quarters of the game in which the final score was 78-74.
Bio-Medical team won against the Medical Records team with a score of 70-62. Bio-Med dominated the boards over Medical Records. The Record Keepers with one injured player was a big handicap to the other players.
The third and final game last Thursday was the much-awaited clash of the Mechanical team against Pfizer-PMMS. The Mechanics rallied on the scoreboards for the first five minutes of the first quarter but the Life Savers perseverance proved fruitful after diminishing the 12 points deficit, and taking the driver’s seat after the end of the first quarter. The game ended 84-79 for the Life Savers.
On Aug. 8, the Administrators lost to the Housekeeping B team 69-62. On Friday night, Housekeeping A Team won over the Dental team. The entire game was really a delight but the supremacy of the Housekeepers proved, in the end, to be too much for the Dentists. The Housekeepers won 66-52.
In the third game between the Nursing team and HVAC team, the Caregivers proved their worth when the Aircon Masters lost 70-58.
