Colorful Indian Independence Day Cultural Program

JEDDAH, 18 August 2003 — A cultural program was organized by the Consulate General of India, Jeddah at the Indian International School auditorium to celebrate the 57th Independence Day of India. The program focused on diverse aspects of Indian culture with the common theme of patriotism. The program was divided into three segments — patriotic songs, dances with patriotic themes from Kerala, West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, the Punjab and Jammu and Kashmir, and a musical drama “Voyage to Freedom”. The combo photo shows two scenes from the musical drama. The program lasting more than three hours kept the packed auditorium spellbound.
