Saud Ibn Naif Named Envoy to Spain

JEDDAH, 11 September 2003 — Prince Saud ibn Naif, former deputy governor of the Eastern Province, has been appointed Saudi ambassador to Spain, it was announced here yesterday.

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Fahd and Crown Prince Abdullah, deputy premier and commander of the National Guard, wished Prince Saud every success in his new job and urged him to work for stronger Saudi-Spanish relations.

King Fahd earlier issued a Royal Decree appointing Prince Saud an ambassador at the Foreign Ministry with the rank of a minister.
