JEDDAH, 26 September 2003 — Tetra Pak’s Rodell Ricafort returned with a 618 series in three games to help Tetra collect 37. 5 points in the 6th week of the All Filipino Tenpin Bowling League (AFTBL).
The league is organized by the Filipino Tenpin Bowlers of Jeddah (FTBJ) at the Jeddah Lanes Bowling Center.
Ricafort started slow in the first game scoring 161.
And in the ensuing games, Ricafort rolled a game-high 247 and followed it with 212 in the penultimate game, for an average of 206. Rudy Valenzuela toppled 578 series in three games while Goying Salazar and Bonnie Garcia posted an identical three game series of 552. Ruben Medina added 511 series.
Tetra Pak squad generated an overall team series handicap of 2,901 points to take the third position.
Current league leaders Dove Bar sealed 32 points to fortify their hold.
The heroics of Joey Salvador and the combined efforts of Ronquillo, Jess Pineda, Nap Patayan and Mar Cabrera who carded a separate series of610, 556, 551, 542 and 517 helped them.
SkyFreight Forwarders snatched 30 points. Cris Villavelez topscored with a series of 600, Danny De Guzman with a series of 590, and Rene Santiago and Louie Bautista toppled 539 and 526 while Edu Toledo had 502.
A total of 29. 5 points was submitted by the Saudia Wings team keglers and carding the best output were Nonie Yap (583), Benjie Cyls (543), Wilson Triguero (509), Ed Labuac (499) and Alex Flora (498).
This time, Gandour Yamama came back with fiery performances to pour 27 points.
Leo Pangilinan led with 576 series followed by Adrian Abrenica (548).
The duo of Terry Naorbe and Mel Yabut scored an identical series of 512 while Fred Monzon rolled 503.
The Lux Progress team snatched 22. 5 points with Toto Lim (550), Joe Flores (538) and Zaldy Parinas (528).
Andy Erena and Vhoi Ycong 527 and 473 outstanding. Roger Daquioag fired 567 series while Boy Casio shot a series of 566 to help SDC Kohler post 22 points.
Larry Santos, Pris Calidro and Nestor Casalme added a separate series of 513, 508 and 490. Saudi Pearl Insurance team garnered 20. 5 points with Angel Decena hitting 575 series in three games.
Dante Calapatia and Rene Martinez chipped in 567 and 543 series while Rey Beltran and Rene San Pedro scored a series of 473 and 445. The Picpa Pro and the Al-Hussaini & Co. (Seiko) bowling teams registered identical 17 points.
Topscoring for the Picpa Pro were Lindo Villanueva with 572 series and Benjie Domado (550). Bien Hermosura led Al-Hussaini & Co. (Seiko) team by posting a series of 582. Vic Santos and Hashim Guinomla submitted 520 and 516.
The Cali Sparkling Drink managed to collect 9 points.
The triumvirate of Val Magsino, Rally Zamora and Roger Abantas knocked down a series of 532, 522 and 509 respectively.
