MobiNil, Banks Push Egypt Stocks Higher

CAIRO, 13 October 2003 — Egyptian shares ticked higher in thin volume trade yesterday with banks and mobile phone service provider MobiNil the focus of attention, traders said. The benchmark Hermes index rose 101.34 points, or one percent, to 10,711.18 points. The broader CIBC index rose 0.07 points, or 0.1 percent, to 83.94 points.
