3 New Universities in Next Two Years

RIYADH, 14 October 2003 — Three new private universities and eight private colleges will open in the next two years, according to Dr. Abdullah Al-Othman, deputy higher education minister for educational affairs. The government is providing SR50 million in soft loans to construct private colleges and SR15 million to furnish them in addition to giving public land at nominal charges, he said.
