JUBAIL, 17 October 2003 — Sir Syed Day will be observed today at 7.30 p.m. at the Petrokemya Recreation Beach Camp, Jubail to commemorate the 186th birthday of Sir Syed Ahmed Khan, founder of India’s Aligarh Muslim University. Dr. Syed Abdul Wahid of Britain will be the chief guest and Abdullah Stuart M. Auerbach, an American Dawa worker, the guest of honor.

The Riyadh Chapter of AMU Old Boys Association recently marked Sir Syed Day in the capital city. Over 500 Aligarians attended the function.
