MAKKAH, 2 November 2003 — Charitable organizations are providing iftar meals in the pedestrian area around the Grand Mosque here. Meals are distributed daily just before iftar, Al-Nadwa reported. Mansour Al-Amer, the director of a project for pilgrims, said that more than 175,000 iftar meals will be distributed during Ramadan. The meal consists of dates, water, sambusas and orange juice.
