Over 1,000 Attend MES Iftar Party

JEDDAH, 8 November 2003 — More than 1,000 people including a large number of non-Muslims and leaders of various cultural organizations attended an iftar party organized by the Muslim Education Society, an organization of Indian Muslims, at Al-Wurood School here yesterday. MES President Dr. Abdullah Moopan highlighted the significance of such gatherings to promote mutual trust and tolerance. Indian students who scored top marks in Class X CBSE exams were awarded shields during the function.
