SHARJAH, 30 December 2003 — Air Arabia, the UAE’s national airline and first low-cost airline of its kind in the Middle East & North Africa region, has announced the expansion of its flight network to include Alexandria and Assiut in Egypt; Isfahan, Shiraz, and Tehran in Iran; Aleppo in Syria; Doha in Qatar; and Colombo in Sri Lanka.

Our additional travel services will be effective early January and will ensure that the rising demand of our passengers in the region is met. Air Arabia’s Iran-bound flights will leave every Tuesday and Sunday at 10.20 p.m. to Isfahan; every Monday and Wednesday at 10.30 a.m. to Shiraz; every Friday at 10.30 a.m. and on Saturday and Tuesday at 11.20 to Tehran. Colombo flights will operate every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 8.50 p.m., whereas Aleppo flights will take off from Sharjah at 8 p.m. every Sunday and Thursday. Flights from Sharjah will operate every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday at 10.35 a.m. to Alexandria, and every Wednesday, Friday and Saturday to Assiut at 7 p.m. Flights to Doha will operate every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 7 a.m. as well as every Tuesday and Saturday at 7.50 p.m.
Starting fares will vary according to destination, a one way ticket from Sharjah starts from 370 dirhams to Aleppo, 299 dirhams each to Alexandria and Assiut, 379 dirhams to Colombo, 170 dirhams to Doha, 120 dirhams to Isfahan, 120 dirhams to Shiraz, 150 dirhams to Tehran.
