RIYADH, 31 January 2003 — Crown Prince Abdullah, deputy premier and commander of the National Guard, will lay the foundation stone of an SR100 million high-profile college project for nursing and medical sciences here today. The plan to set up this college is mainly intended to cut reliance on expatriate nurses, who currently constitute nearly 90 percent of the total nursing staff in the Kingdom. Dr. Abdullah Al-Rabea, director general for health affairs at the National Guard, said yesterday the college will be located at the King Abdul Aziz National Guard Medical City.
