JEDDAH, 11 January 2004 — Some 250 international IT companies are expected to take part in the fourth COMDEX Saudi Arabia 2004, according to an official.

Nasser Diab, the project’s manager, told Arab News that the fourth COMDEX Saudi Arabia will be held at the Jeddah International Exhibition Center from March 14-18.

“Some 250 professional IT companies are coming to Saudi Arabia this year to meet, discuss and make vital technology deals with the Kingdom’s leading technology companies, channel distributors, and IT vendors,” he said.

Diab said the main goal behind the exhibition is to develop and activate the Saudi IT industry and also to learn about the latest innovations the IT industry has to offer.

“Now in its fourth year, COMDEX Saudi Arabia — the largest IT market in the Middle East — is expected to include keynote speakers, conferences, special events, open sessions, workshops and other various interactions between local and international IT specialists,” Diab said.
