TOKYO, 16 January 2004 — Carlos Ghosn, the chief executive of Nissan Motor, has topped a list of Japan’s best corporate managers in the post-bubble economy era, winning admiration for having saved the automaker from near bankruptcy. Ghosn scored the top 999 points in a survey by the Nihon Keizai Shimbun business daily, which collected a total of 762 votes - 323 from the paper’s own journalists, 285 readers, 101 corporate managers and 53 analysts.
