BURAIDAH, 20 January 2004 — The total cost of new projects approved by the general administration for water in the Qassim area is more than SR400 million. This amount is for distribution between cities and provinces in the area, Al-Madinah daily reported. The director of water in Qassim, Abdul Kareem Al-Fuzan, said that these projects included establishing a new water purification plant north of Buraidah and another in Al-Asya. Besides, SR60 million will be spent to improve the performance of two water plants in Unaizah and Al-Rass.
